Separating Master & Publishing royalties

2. Project:

Aluna released a 50 piece Music NFT collection on Sound.xyz.

3. Challenge:

Aluna has a record deal with Mad Decent and had to share earnings with her collaborators, including 3x Grammy winner, Diplo.

4. Solution:

Aluna’s management settles to share earnings into 3 parts: Artist (20%), Label (40%), and Publishing (40%). She sent all earnings to a Revenue Path in which each part was then shared amongst the different rights holders, Allowing Mad Decent (the Label), as well as Diplo & the songwriters to each access their earnings independently.
